Brexit Answer: EU Settlement Scheme - How can organisations support EU citizens?

Brexit Answers is a series of online Q&A discussions, hosted by Brexit Civil Society Alliance, to bring policy experts and civil society organisations together.

In these difficult and uncertain times, Brexit is quite rightly taking a back seat but, unless it changes, the UK is still set to leave the transition period at the end of 2020. What comes after is currently unknown as the future relationship between the EU and the UK is being negotiated. During this civil society faces uncertainty about the impacts Brexit will have on their organisations and the communities it works with.

Brexit Answers: EU Settlement Scheme - how can organisations support EU citizens? This session of Brexit Answers is an opportunity for civil society organisations to learn more about the impact of Brexit on EU citizen’s rights and the EU Settlement Scheme.

How can third sector organisations best support EU citizens in applying for the scheme? What is the hostile environment and why is there a concern that EU citizens may be subject to it after Brexit? What is the Home Office doing in response to Covid-19? What risks do Covid-19 represent to EU citizens applying for the scheme?

Joining us to answer all these questions and more is  Danai Galaziou from the AIRE Centre, Tamara Flanigan from the New Europeans, and Caitlin Boswell-Jones from JCWI

Our Brexit Answers series is free and available online. This session on Wednesday 27th May from 10.00 to 11:30. Sign up to this session and more using the button below. You will also have the chance to submit your question to the experts.
